JAMESTOWN, N.C. (Nov. 8, 2023) – Natashia McEachern has been named the director of Guilford Technical Community College's Titan Link, a program that works to improve the financial self-sufficiency, academic program completion, and quality of life for the college's students, faculty, and staff.
She has more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit management and fund development, project management, administrative support, and mental health support services.
McEachern, who has worked at GTCC for more than eight years, most recently served as interim director of Titan Link, a position she held for the past year. Prior to this, she worked within the GTCC Foundation working closely with Titan Link.
"I'm excited to finally bridge my off-campus life of volunteering, working, and collaborating in the mental health space with my at-work life," McEachern said. "This is an awesome opportunity, and I don't take it lightly. Titan Link will continue to make amazing happen."
As director of Titan Link, McEachern will work with staff and community agencies to help GTCC students reach benchmarks of social, physical, and educational well-being. She will work alongside faculty and student services staff to create processes that identify "at-risk" students, serve on the CARE team, and work to connect students in need with appropriate services. McEachern will also oversee the day-to-day operation of the Titan Link Centers.
"Natashia will be instrumental in continuing to advance the mission and purpose of Titan Link, working closely with faculty and staff to meet student needs and building invaluable community partnerships," said David Pittman, Ph.D., campus dean.
McEachern holds a bachelor's degree in political science from North Carolina Central University and a master's in mental health counseling from Capella University.
