GTCC Workforce Training & Continuing Education courses offer you short-term training that give you a credential to help land you that perfect job. We can prepare for you licensure exams and help you earn industry-recognized credentials in a variety of fields. In a few weeks or months, you can be ready to enter a new career. We also offer many training programs designed to help you gain new and/or upgrade your current job-related skills to enhance your career.
Courses are taught at locations throughout Guilford County, as well as online.
How to Register
Online
- You can register online. Use the Search function to search for Course Title or Course Code.
- Register for a GTCC Small Business Center workshop.

Workforce Training Scholarships
There are many scholarship opportunities to help fund your education.
Adult Education Programs
Adult Education programs are designed for adults who need to improve communication (reading, writing, speaking), to understand and work with numbers, and to develop problem-solving skills necessary for a job, high school completion, post-secondary training, for the family, or in society.
Programs include:
- GED
- High School Equivalence and Adult High School programs
- English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
- Transitions programs for students preparing for college level courses
- Back to Basics courses
- POWER programs for students with intellectual or developmental disabilities
