Proctoring Services
Information about proctoring services.
The Assessment Center provides testing and proctoring services for GTCC as well as other institutions, organizations, and third-party partners. Through our site, we offer paper and computer-based testing. We maintain and adhere to all standards set forth by the National College Testing Association.
Accepted Testing IDs and Fees
Required ID: Valid government-issued photo ID or current school ID. Photocopies of IDs are not acceptable. Non-expired temporary IDs issued by the DMV are acceptable only if they have a picture.

Required ID: Valid government-issued photo ID with signature and the test taker's full name exactly as it appears on their CLEP ticket. Photocopies of IDs are not acceptable. Non-expired temporary IDs issued by the DMV are acceptable only if they have a picture.
Fees: $95 paid directly to CLEP, plus a $20 proctor fee paid to GTCC cashier's office on the day of the test
Correspondence testing is for another institution or organization.

Fees: $73 for GTCC students and $98 for non-GTCC students to be paid to the cashier's office on the day of the test
This test is only offered to current GTCC students.

Placement Testing
The Admissions Office is the first step. Students who need a placement test or think they need a placement test should visit or email Admissions (admissions@gtcc.edu).
If the Admissions Office determines that a placement test is necessary, they will send the assessment center a testing referral. The assessment center will then reach out to the student via their GTCC email to set up any required testing. Please do not try to set up a placement test without speaking to admissions first.
