Guilford Technical Community College unveils website dedicated to college's athletic programs

JAMESTOWN, N.C. (March 5, 2024) – Guilford Technical Community College recently launched its first website dedicated to the college’s athletic department.
The site, gtcctitans.com, offers a one-stop overview of the GTCC athletic department from team schedules to rosters to information for potential student-athletes and more.
“A strengthened website presence is a welcomed addition. The athletics website is often one of the first areas student-athletes research when making their college choice,” said Kirk Chandler, GTCC’s athletic director. “It is a high-traffic resource for all of our team members, along with family and friends.”
The website offers comprehensive information on all GTCC athletic teams, including game schedules, team rosters, photos, and up-to-date individual and team statistics. The site also shares news and feature stories about Titan athletes.
GTCC offers athletic competition at the National Junior College Athletic Association level in five sports: men’s and women’s basketball, women’s volleyball, baseball, and eSports. The Titans’ eSports Rainbow Six Siege team recently captured an NJCAAE national championship.
Anthony Hausner became the first GTCC baseball player to sign a scholarship with a four-year university earlier this year. He is now the starting first baseman for The Citadel, is one of the team’s leading hitters, and has been perfect in the field.
Garrett Palmer, a member of GTCC’s 2023 eSports team, is now competing for Cumberland University on a scholarship and was recently named the Mid-South Conference player of the week.
There is also a calendar of events that includes schedules for all teams in one place. A listing of all athletic coaches is included with their contact information.
Potential GTCC student-athletes will be able to submit information about their high school academic and athletic careers via the website and contact coaches.
