JAMESTOWN, N.C. (May 7, 2024) – Guilford Technical Community College student athletes were recently honored at a banquet for their athletic and academic performance during the fall, winter, and spring seasons.
Nineteen GTCC students were recognized for academic and athletic achievements by the college with one student athlete named All Region 10, second team, in women’s basketball.
Nine Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) student athletes earned spots on the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 10 All-Academic Team for the fall semester.
“Our student-athletes work extremely hard in the classroom and their sport of choice. It’s always nice when they receive much deserved recognition,” said Kirk Chandler, GTCC’s athletic director.
To be named to the NJCAA Region 10 All-Academic Team, student-athletes must have participated in a sport that competes during the fall semester and have a 3.0 grade point average while passing 12 credit hours.
