Public Safety Administration
Public safety management involves coordinating and administering resources that provide for the safety and security of the community.
The curriculum is designed to provide students, as well as practitioners, with knowledge and skills in the technical, managerial, and administrative areas necessary for entrance or advancement within various public safety and government organizations.
Program Features
- Choose one of two course tracks from the subject areas of Law Enforcement Services or Emergency/Fire Management Services.
- Students are eligible to earn credits for prior public safety training (maximum of nine credits awarded) based on the type of agency training and the number of hours completed, subject to approval based on transcripts submitted.
- The program is offered in an online format that provides flexibility for full-time working professionals who may need access to distance learning education options.
- Courses are taught by dedicated faculty with relevant higher education credentials and years of practical public safety experience.
- By completing this program, students will gain the fundamental competencies vital to employability and interpersonal and professional success in the public safety administration.
