GTCC Student Ambassadors
2024-2025 Academic Year
The GTCC Student Ambassador Program allows Titans to serve as college representatives at institutional functions, as well as recruitment, student, civic, and cultural activities. It also serves as a leadership program for student ambassadors to develop personal, organizational, and institutional leadership skills. The GTCC Foundation is proud to provide annual program support for student ambassadors. Our ambassadors this year are ready to serve the GTCC population and grow professionally, academically, and socially.

“GTCC has helped me turn my life around and find a true direction for where I want to be. I have discovered what interests me the most while creating lasting relationships both personally and professionally. This has led me to discover opportunities that align with my interests in leadership and business while opening my eyes to different potential fields like education. I am forever grateful for what GTCC has given me in my time so far, and I look forward to what is to come.”

“I am most proud of my academic achievements and personal growth during my time at GTCC. Despite facing various challenges, such as managing my disabilities and health issues, I have consistently maintained a strong academic performance. I am proud of the hard work and dedication I have put into my studies, as well as the resilience I have shown in overcoming obstacles.”

“GTCC impacted me personally in that I’ve met new friends and people from other places and cultures. Also, with the academic experience, GTCC had helped me because the school allowed us to host events like the International Night and do research like I’ve done in Chemistry Club.”

“GTCC gave me opportunities beyond academics. I felt like I grew in many different ways. From the esports program, I learned how to be more assertive, gained confidence, and learned about leadership skills. From being an ambassador, I learned how to break the introvert shell and begian interacting more with my peers.”
Katelyn Abantohollans

“As much as I loved and valued my education, I wasn't sure if I would be willing to pursue higher education out of fear of incurring a lot of student debt. GTCC's financial affordability and Access Amazing scholarship were a blessing in my life as they provided me the opportunity to continue my studies without taking on student debt. From a professional perspective, GTCC's reputation and connections made it easy to find shadowing opportunities within the community's healthcare field.”

“Joining the ISA (International Student Association Club) club has been a memorable experience for me. It has allowed me to be more social and open to new things. I have made some of my best friends in this club and have also grown closer to my international advisors. The friendships and support I found in ISA were instrumental in my growth.”

“GTCC has impacted me professionally by being the first real professional environment that I was constantly a part of and molding the way that I conduct myself. GTCC has impacted me personally by providing opportunities for me to learn new skills but to also meet new people. Some of the opportunities that come to mind are that of the work-study program; esports, which allowed me to meet people of like interests and allowed me to compete at a high level; and now the ambassador program which I’m sure will bring even more new experiences.”

“I've been able to meet so many more amazing people at GTCC than if I'd continued to go to school within my county. I've received a considerable amount of advice by professors during their office hours. Advice for career paths, areas of study, and even links to neuroendocrinology studies that I might enjoy.”
Jaiden Fraser

“I have been a GAP student for 3 years. I’ve met several great students and instructors and have learned so much from all of them. I’ve been lucky enough to represent GTCC at the National Skills USA competition.”
Rachael Wright

“GTCC has helped me develop my professional and networking skills. I've been introduced to many different people from different stages of life. Going to GTCC gave me real-world exposure that I wouldn't have found by going straight to a four-year school.”
Van Nei

"I chose GTCC because it has a great academic pathway program. All the professors and students are nice and supportive. GTCC has been amazing throughout my time here. I got benefits mentally, physically, and financially.”
Sarah Brookshire

“I finally feel like I’m on a path rather than just floating in the void of life and all the different distractions life offers. The main opportunity has been this - becoming an ambassador.”
Makayla Young
Pre-Nursing
"GTCC has allowed me to be challenged with the curriculum of my classes while allowing me to network and socialize outside of my comfort zone, which is an important skill to have professionally."
Imani Henard

"GTCC has given me a chance to attend college once again after being out of it for a couple of years. It has led me to want to finally pursue my degree and get my MD. The location of the school was not too far from my house, and it was pretty easy to get to with my lack of transportation at the time. It is also more affordable than going to another four-year institution."
